What Trading Activities Are Prohibited at NSF?

To maintain a fair, transparent, and sustainable trading environment, NSF strictly prohibits certain trading behaviors across all challenge and funded accounts.

These rules are designed to identify disciplined traders and protect the integrity of the platform. Please review the following guidelines carefully.

Prohibited Trading Practices

High-Frequency Trading (HFT), Tick Scalping & Latency Exploitation

Strategies that rely on:

  • Extremely rapid order placement and cancellation

  • Exploiting price-feed delays or execution latency

  • Tick scalping or ultra-fast in-and-out trading

are not allowed. These practices do not reflect realistic or sustainable trading behavior and may result in account termination.

⚠️ Minimum trade duration across all NSF models is 1 minute.

Trades must meet this requirement to be considered valid.

Gambling & Excessive Risk-Taking

NSF strictly prohibits gambling-style behavior, including:

  • Risking a disproportionate amount of account drawdown on a single trade

  • “All-or-nothing” or desperation trades intended to quickly hit targets

  • Consistently oversized positions that threaten account stability

  • Martingale / Grid

Even if numerical limits are not technically breached, NSF reserves the right to close accounts engaging in reckless or abusive risk behavior.

Hedging Across Brokers or Firms

Hedging positions across:

  • Multiple brokers

  • Other prop firms

  • External personal accounts

to create artificial or risk-free exposure is strictly prohibited. All NSF accounts must be traded independently and honestly.

Copy Trading & Signal Sharing

  • ✅ Copy trading is allowed only between your own NSF accounts

  • ❌ Copy trading between different traders is not allowed

  • ❌ Copying from or to external (non-NSF) accounts is prohibited

Accounts showing identical or highly correlated trading patterns may be reviewed and closed.

Account Sharing & Third-Party Trading

Each NSF account must be traded only by the registered account holder. The following is not allowed:

  • Sharing login credentials

  • Letting others trade on your behalf

  • Using account management or “account passing” services

Any account found in violation may be terminated immediately.

Server Abuse & Toxic Order Flow

Using automated systems or strategies that:

  • Flood the server with excessive orders

  • Spam limit/market orders

  • Cause execution or platform instability

is prohibited and may result in account closure and forfeiture of payouts.

News Trading Abuse (Funded Accounts)

  • ✅ News trading is allowed during challenge phases

  • ❌ On funded accounts, opening or closing trades within 10 minutes before or after high-impact news is not allowed

Violations may result in profit removal or account termination, depending on severity.

Weekend Trading Abuse

  • ✅ Holding trades over the weekend is allowed

  • ❌ Opening new trades during market-closed periods (e.g. Saturday/Sunday) is not permitted

This rule exists to prevent manipulation during illiquid or closed market conditions.

Consequences of Rule Violations

Violating any prohibited activity may result in:

  • Immediate account closure

  • Disqualification from funded status

  • Forfeiture of pending profits or payouts

  • Permanent ban from NSF (in severe or repeated cases)

NSF takes rule enforcement seriously to ensure a fair environment for all traders. If you are ever unsure whether a strategy is allowed, we strongly recommend contacting NSF support via nextstagefunded.com before trading.

We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a professional and sustainable trading ecosystem.
